The Dynavector DV-10X5 is a high output moving coil phono cartridge originally introduced in 1978 and updated in the MKII version. It features Dynavector's patented magnetic flux damping and softened magnetism technologies, along with powerful neodymium magnets to eliminate harshness and edginess in sound reproduction. The cartridge has a rigid aluminium head block for secure mounting and a 6mm hardened aluminium cantilever. The stylus is a nude diamond 'Shibata III' line contact type, ensuring excellent tracking and extended high-frequency response. The SoundSmith ruby retip upgrade replaces the cantilever with a ruby cantilever, known for its low effective mass and improved resonance control, enhancing the cartridge's musical resolution and tracking ability. This combination leverages Dynavector's legendary coil winding technology and Soundsmith's expertise in ruby cantilever design for superior audio fidelity.
