About the P75
The Dynavector P-75 Phono Stage is a distinctive entry-level phono pre-amplifier designed to outperform many higher-priced competitors. It features the patented Phono Enhancer (PE) circuit developed by Dr. Tominari, which dramatically improves the performance of low output moving coil cartridges by operating as a current amplifier rather than a traditional voltage amplifier. This mode extracts the current signal from the cartridge, improving the magnetic field inside the cartridge and enhancing sound quality. The P-75 supports all conventional cartridge types including MM, MI, high and low output MC cartridges, with adjustable gain and load impedance via jumper settings. It has an advanced, self-contained ultra-low noise power supply that converts a standard 12V AC to DC adapter input into dual high voltages at over 1/4 MHz frequency, eliminating hum and noise common in conventional phono stages. The phono stage offers extreme RIAA accuracy, a high current line driver for long cables or difficult loads, and RCA input/output sockets. Input sensitivity ranges from 0.2mV to 2.0mV, with selectable input impedances including 130, 60, 100, 220, 470, and 47k Ohms. The P-75 MK4 version introduces a redesigned power supply with virtually unmeasurable noise and electrical isolation from the input power, further enhancing audio fidelity.
