About the Contour S 3.4

The Dynaudio Contour S 3.4 floorstanding speaker was manufactured from 2008 to around 2010 and is made in Denmark. It features a 2.5-way bass reflex design with a crossover frequency at 2000 Hz. The speaker uses two 170 mm MSP woofers with 75 mm voice coils and a 28 mm fabric dome Esotec tweeter with a double magnet system for high power handling and precise dome control. The cabinet is reinforced with cross braces and dense damping material to minimize resonance, combined with a metal baffle for rigidity. The crossover is mounted on a separate block to reduce vibration interference, connected to gold-plated WBT terminals. It has a sensitivity of 86 dB (2.83V/1m), an impedance of 4 Ohms, and a frequency response from 35 Hz to 25 kHz (±3 dB). The speaker weighs 33.3 kg and measures 357 x 1226 x 366 mm (W x H x D). Available finishes include Maple, Cherry, Rosewood, and Black Ash, with special order options for other veneers and piano lacquer finishes. Originally The Contour S 3.4 is praised for its smooth frequency response, low distortion, and excellent build quality, making it a highly regarded model in the Dynaudio Contour series.
