About the SC-IV with Alesis RA100
The Dunlavy SC-IV is a three-way dynamic loudspeaker featuring a 1" composite textile-dome tweeter, two 5.5" paper-cone midranges, and two 10" long-throw paper-cone woofers. It has a first-order crossover design and biwire/biamp capability. The speaker exhibits an exceptionally flat frequency response from 25Hz to 20kHz (±1.5dB), with a sensitivity of 92dB/W/m and a nominal impedance of 5 ohms. It is noted for its time-coherent design, allowing it to reproduce squarewaves with high accuracy over a wide bandwidth (200Hz to 5kHz), resulting in superb imaging and soundstaging. The speaker measures 72" H x 12" W x 18" D and weighs 190 lbs. It is recommended to be driven by an amplifier with at least 50W into 8 ohms. The Alesis RA100 Reference Amplifier delivers 100 watts per channel into 4 ohms and 75 watts per channel into 8 ohms, designed for studio and live sound applications with high headroom, low distortion, and robust protection features. It has versatile input/output options including RCA and 1/4" TRS inputs, and features a quiet, fanless cooling system for noise-free operation. Together, this combination offers a high-fidelity audio system capable of precise, distortion-free reproduction suitable for demanding studio and audiophile environments.
