It features a dual 8-pole synchronous motor with precision flat belt drive, semi-automatic operation with auto arm lift and stop, manual start, pitch control, strobe light, and spring-loaded suspension. The tonearm is a torsion-resistant tubular aluminum design in a four-point gimbal suspension with minimal bearing friction. It supports standard 1/2-inch mount cartridges weighing 5.5-10g. Known for excellent speed stability and low noise, it was originally priced at $210 USD. Common issues include belt wear and motor speed problems on 60Hz power without upgrades.
