About the ION-001

The DS Audio ION-001 is a vinyl ionizer that helps eliminate static electricity from vinyl records, thereby improving sound quality by reducing crackling and pops. It features two positive and two negative ion emitters, which are positioned to cover both the inner and outer parts of the record. The device is silent, emits almost no ozone, and includes dimmable green LEDs to indicate operation. The ionizers have a lifespan of 10,000 hours, estimated to last about ten years with daily use of three hours. The ION-001 is compact, measuring 84mm x 84mm x 250mm, and weighs 950g. It operates on a DC12V power supply from an AC100V-240V input.
