About the 003 Energizer

The DS Audio 003 Energizer is the dedicated equalizer for the DS 003 photo-optical phono cartridge. It converts the cartridge’s optical signal for connection to a conventional line-level preamplifier and provides approximately 500 mV output at 1 kHz, with RCA outputs, 120-ohm output impedance, and selectable low-frequency equalization curves. The energizer is designed for use with DS Audio optical cartridges and is not a conventional phono stage for moving-coil or moving-magnet cartridges.
