About the O/96

The O/96 is a two-way, stand-mounted loudspeaker with a bass reflex design, featuring a 10" paper cone mid/woofer with a phase-plug and a 1" silk-dome tweeter gently horn-loaded by a powerful double-magnet motor system. It is designed to be easy to drive with low-powered tube amplifiers, boasting a sensitivity of 96 dB/W/M and a nominal impedance of 10 ohms. The cabinet is made in Brooklyn with high-quality veneer finishes, typically hand-polished Lace Walnut, and includes in-house designed crossovers and internal wiring chosen for sonic performance. The speaker delivers a frequency response from approximately 25Hz to 31kHz, providing a wide bandwidth and excellent spatial imaging. It is praised for its musicality, clarity, and dynamic coherence, making it suitable for a variety of amplifier types and listening volumes.
