The DeVore Fidelity Orangutan O/93 is a high-performance two-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed with a 1-inch soft silk dome tweeter and a 10-inch paper cone woofer with phase plug, both custom-made by SEAS of Norway. It offers a frequency response from 30Hz to 31kHz and a sensitivity of 93 dB/W/m, making it suitable for a wide range of amplifiers including low-power single-ended triode tube amps. The cabinet is crafted from about a dozen layers of Baltic birch plywood with a fiddleback mahogany veneered front baffle and high-gloss piano-black lacquered sides, back, and top, providing both aesthetic appeal and acoustic performance. The crossover is minimalistic to preserve clarity and tonal accuracy, and the speaker is designed to be used without spikes or stands, resting on small wooden feet. Dimensions are 35.5" high by 15" wide by 10" deep, and each speaker weighs approximately 20.5 kg.
