The Devialet Premier-D is an innovative integrated amplifier combining a stereo power amplifier delivering 240 watts per channel with a high-resolution DAC capable of handling digital signals up to 24-bit/192kHz. It uses Devialet's patented Analog Digital Hybrid (ADH) technology, which merges a low-powered Class A analog output stage controlling voltage with a Class D switching section providing current, resulting in high sound quality with 85% efficiency. The amplifier supports a wide range of speaker impedances from 2 to 8 ohms and features a digital preamplifier stage with volume control implemented in the digital domain. It includes multiple inputs: AES/EBU, S/PDIF (optical and coaxial), RCA analog inputs assignable as phono or line, Wi-Fi streaming via Devialet AIR protocol, and an SD card slot for firmware updates and custom cartridge loading for the phono stage. The phono stage converts analog signals to digital for flexible digital RIAA and cartridge loading configurations.
