About the Audiophile
The Design Progression Audiophile Rack is engineered for serious high-end audio systems, incorporating a distinctive "frame within a frame" design where an inner frame floats within an outer frame to isolate vibrations. The inner frame remains stationary due to inertia, while the outer frame tracks floor-born distortions, enhancing audio performance. It features massive 4.5-inch diameter precision extruded aluminum columns weighing nearly two pounds per linear foot, chosen for their vibration transmission properties. The rack includes three shelves: two standard 18"x18" platforms and one larger 21"x27" top shelf, with infinitely adjustable shelf spacing. It supports up to 300 pounds per shelf and has overall dimensions of 27.5" width, 22" depth, and 36" height (other heights available). Optional footers include spikes, floor discs, glides, and casters to suit different floor finishes. This rack is designed to improve resolution, bass performance, and soundstage definition, making it suitable for audiophiles with expensive equipment.
