The Denon DP-500M is a high-fidelity direct-drive turntable designed for audiophiles seeking precise speed control and stable rotation. It uses a quartz lock servo system that controls platter rotation via optical pulses, ensuring minimal speed deviation and no off-center rotation. The high-torque motor achieves a rapid start-up time of 0.3 seconds. The 13-inch aluminum die-cast platter is treated with silicon rubber on its underside to minimize vibration and resonance. The tonearm is a static balance type with a lightweight S-shaped design, optimized for sound quality with die-cast parts and vibration deadening materials.
