About the DL-A100

The Denon DL-A100 phono cartridge was developed by precisely reproducing the original engineering reference model of the high-performance Japanese standard cartridge DL-103, elevating its performance, accuracy, and musicality using the latest tuning technologies. It features hand-wound coils with extra care taken for this anniversary model. The cartridge uses independent 2-channel moving coils wound on a cross-shaped iron core to minimize sensitivity differences between channels. It has a lightweight yet rigid dual-structure cantilever with a 0.2 mm square solid diamond stylus tip, individually fitted for optimal groove tracking. The DL-A100 offers a wide frequency response from 20 Hz to 45 kHz, excellent channel separation, and a recommended tracking force of 2.5 grams. It comes in a special 100th anniversary clear case, includes a signed certificate of authenticity from the chief production engineer, a Denon brand book, and a 5-year warranty. The cartridge is compatible with standard half-inch mounts and requires a moving coil phono input or an external MC preamp.
