About the DCD-A100

The Denon DCD-A100 is a special 100th anniversary edition Super Audio CD (SACD) and CD player designed to deliver exceptional audio performance. It incorporates Denon's proprietary Advanced AL32 Processing technology, which expands 16-bit digital data to 32-bit for enhanced waveform reproduction and improved weak signal fidelity. The player uses high-precision 32-bit/192 kHz digital-to-analog converters and a highly accurate master clock to ensure faithful sound reproduction with a wide dynamic range and very low noise floor. It features an advanced Suppress Vibration Hybrid (S.V.H.) drive mechanism for accurate and high-quality playback of SACDs and CDs. The DCD-A100 supports playback of MP3 and WMA files via a front USB port compatible with USB memory devices and iPods, transmitting digital signals for high-quality audio output. The player includes digital inputs (coaxial, optical, USB) and analog stereo RCA outputs. It is built with a special upgraded power supply including a high-grade transformer and audiophile-grade block capacitors, cast iron footing for stability, and a glossy black finish with a 100th anniversary badge. The package includes a remote control, a signed certificate of authenticity, and a Denon brand book. Dimensions are approximately 434 x 137 x 336 mm, and it weighs about 14.5 kg. The DCD-A100 was released in 2010 as part of Denon's limited anniversary collection and comes with a 5-year warranty.
