The Denon AVR-5805 is a high-end THX Ultra2-certified audio-video surround receiver featuring ten high-current amplifier channels rated at 170 watts each into 8 ohms with 0.05% THD. It supports advanced surround sound formats including THX Surround EX, Dolby Digital EX, and DTS-ES, and offers sophisticated digital signal processing with three 32-bit Texas Instruments DSP processors for main room surround decoding and a fourth for a second room. The unit incorporates Denon's proprietary DDSC-Digital surround processor and Advanced AL24 DSP processing for enhanced fidelity and upsampling of high-resolution PCM sources up to 192 kHz. It includes extensive connectivity with multiple digital coaxial and optical inputs, HDMI (version 1.1) with up to 1080p video upconversion, component, composite, and S-Video inputs and outputs, as well as Denon Link for high-integrity digital audio transfer. The AVR-5805 supports multi-zone operation with independent audio and video sources for up to four zones, allowing configurations such as 9.1-channel surround in the main room plus 5.1 in a second room and stereo in a third. It features room EQ with multi-point measurement, auto setup, and a robust chassis designed to minimize vibration. Additional features include Pure Direct mode for high-purity stereo playback, a large power supply, and extensive analog and digital input/output options. Dimensions are approximately 434 x 280 x 505 mm, and it weighs 44 kg. The package includes the RC-995 remote control.
