The Denon DVD-3910, also known as APL/Denon 3910 in modded form, is a sophisticated universal disc player capable of playing DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, Video CD, SACD, DVD-Audio, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA, and digital photo CDs (JPEG). It features dual 12-bit, 216 MHz video D/A converters for highly accurate video playback with progressive scan and interlaced signal processing, HDMI and DVI outputs with HDCP copy protection, and Faroudja DCDi progressive-scan technology for smooth video on HD-compatible TVs. The player uses audiophile-grade 192kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown DSD-1796 DACs for discrete PCM and DSD audio decoding, supports AL24 Processing Plus for enhanced sound reproduction, and offers multiple analog and digital audio outputs including Denon Link, optical, coaxial, and IEEE 1394. It has a discrete circuit design isolating audio, video, and digital blocks to minimize noise and interference. Additional features include digital bass management with selectable crossover points, Pure Direct mode, HDCD decoding, and a remote control.
