About the Arcas

The Denafrips Arcas is an advanced high-end streamer that builds upon the ARCE model with premium components including a custom hand-picked OCXO oven-controlled crystal oscillator for superior timing accuracy, an 80VA UPOCC O-Core shielded transformer, low-noise LDO power supply, and expanded connectivity such as dual I²S (LVDS over HDMI and RJ45) and dual AES/EBU outputs. It supports Roon Bridge (Roon Ready pending), HQPlayer NAA, AirPlay (16/44.1kHz), and DLNA (16/44.1kHz), with local playback from USB storage, SD card, and NAS. The proprietary streamer module uses a quad-core ARM Cortex processor and a tailored OS optimized for sound quality, incorporating FPGA for FIFO buffering and reclocking. It features dual external master clock inputs for synchronization with devices like Denafrips MCLK Terra or Terminator DACs. Note limitations: Android app under development with basic local file playback; DLNA limited to 16-bit/44.1kHz; recommended for Roon users. Available in black or silver, includes power cord but no remote. Still actively manufactured and sold.[1][2][3][4][7]
