The Deja Vu Audio Full-Function Tubed Stereo Preamp is a refined vacuum tube preamplifier that blends classic analog sound characteristics inspired by the 'Big 3' console headamp designs from the USA, UK, and Germany. Engineered by Stephen Pettyjohn, it features a meticulously optimized signal path with no capacitors in the audio path, premium USA-made Cinemag input transformers, and selectable Jensen or Carnhill output transformers to tailor the tonal character. The preamp includes a three-way Zobel switch for real-time voicing adjustments, resulting in six subtly different tonal options affecting mainly the air band frequency response. It uses high-quality components such as USA-made PRP resistors, gold-plated PCBs with oversized traces, OHNO premium audiophile wiring, and silver and gold-plated switches. The unit is offered in various configurations and can be customized with different transformers and discrete opamps, allowing users to forge their own sonic identity. This preamp is designed to deliver a classic, bigger-than-life soundstage with a wide saturation sweet spot, providing detailed, dimensional analog color without sacrificing clarity or detail.
