About the UltraVerve 3 Remote
The deHavilland UltraVerve 3 Remote is a tube preamplifier designed with a proprietary 32-step precision stepped attenuator that uses discrete resistors switched by precision relays for volume control, making it quieter and more precise than traditional rotary switch attenuators. It is fully remote controllable via an infrared handset, including mute ON/OFF functions that return to the previous volume level. The preamplifier features a machined aluminum anodized bezel with engraved nomenclature and a wide-angle infrared sensor for reliable remote operation. It is a zero negative feedback Class A design using octal tubes and tube rectification, producing a full, robust sound with excellent tonality and detail. The UltraVerve 3 Remote includes four analog inputs, two stereo outputs, an IEC power cord input, and a ground lift switch to eliminate ground loops. It is highly regarded for its minimalist, well-engineered design and high-quality components such as Cardas Litz wiring, mil-spec paper-in-oil capacitors, Roederstein resistors, and a Goldpoint stepped attenuator. The unit weighs approximately 15 lbs and measures 18 x 11 x 6 inches (WxDxH). It operates on 115 VAC/60Hz with a power consumption of 40 watts. The UltraVerve 3 Remote is
