The deHavilland UltraVerve 3 Remote is a zero-negative-feedback, Class A tube line preamplifier with four stereo inputs and two stereo outputs. It uses octal 6SN7 signal tubes, 6AH4 cathode-follower tubes, and a 5AW4 rectifier. Its proprietary 32-step analog volume control uses discrete resistors switched by precision relays and can be operated from the supplied infrared remote, which also provides muting. The circuit offers approximately 12 dB of gain, a 20 Hz–80 kHz bandwidth, an 85 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and a recommended minimum load of 10 kΩ. It measures 18 × 11 × 6 inches and weighs approximately 15 lb, including the shipping carton. Power requirements are 115 VAC/60 Hz with approximately 40 W consumption.
