About the DB-8HG

The dB Systems DB-8HG is a dedicated Moving Coil (MC) RIAA phono preamplifier offering 52 dB gain optimized for MC cartridges. It features precise RIAA equalization with distortion as low as 0.002%, and an output impedance of 150 ohms. The unit comes with a captive 12V wallwart power supply and can optionally be modified to run on the DB preamp power supply. Internal wiring options include Teflon insulated silver-plated copper for improved signal integrity. The compact design measures approximately 6.3" wide, 4.5" deep, and 2.2" tall. It is highly regarded for its low noise floor and excellent sonic performance, making it suitable for audiophile MC cartridge setups.
