The Dan D'Agostino Momentum S250 MxV Stereo Amplifier delivers the extraordinary sound quality of the Momentum M400 MxV monoblock in a more accessible stereo design. It inherits the same circuit topology, ultra-efficient copper heat sinks with venturi cooling, 1% metal-film resistors, 69 MHz output transistors, and entirely complementary balanced configuration from its monoblock counterpart. The amplifier incorporates techniques and topologies initially developed in the Relentless Mono Amplifier, with the MxV designation reflecting the physics equation Mass times Velocity, symbolizing momentum. Every major section—power supply, input, driver, and output stages—has been significantly enhanced. A new transformer winding pattern provides over 50% more current output, while the input stage features advanced bipolar transistors delivering ten times the current and power of previous generation devices. A new bias stability circuit increases operating bias by nearly 50%, improving Class A operation and sound quality. The output stage uses high-output transistors running at 69 MHz, enabling incredible bandwidth. All generations of Momentum stereo amplifiers can be upgraded to the S250 MxV performance level.
