About the DiD
The Daedalus Audio DiD (Daedalus Isolation Devices) are high-quality vibration isolation feet made from a combination of highly polished billet aluminum, solid cherry wood, brass, and steel bearings. These devices use dissimilar materials and rotational energy dissipation to reduce vibration transmission and resonance in audio components, particularly effective with tube equipment. The design includes multi-material mechanical interfaces and steel bearings to isolate electronics from vibration, resulting in improved spaciousness, depth, resolution, and low-level detail in audio playback. Felt inserts are optionally provided to tailor the sonic effect, allowing users to adjust the balance between clarity and aggressiveness. They are typically used as footers for CD players, tube preamplifiers, DACs, and digital music players, but are not recommended for turntables. Each unit is precision crafted and
