About the 80 PRE

The Cyrus Audio 80 PRE is a full-width network streaming preamplifier designed as the control/source component in a separate power-amplifier system. It combines BluOS multi-room streaming, an ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M 32-bit DAC, MM/MC phono stage, analogue and digital input switching, HDMI eARC, and an integrated headphone amplifier. Control and playback information are presented on a 5-inch full-colour TFT display, with app control available for iOS, Android, Kindle, Mac, and PC. Cyrus specifies built-in Wi-Fi, balanced XLR input/output facilities, and both conventional and balanced headphone connections. Several detailed analogue-performance, phono-stage, headphone-output, chassis-dimension, weight, and power-consumption measurements have not been formally published in the available 80 PRE documentation; those values should not be inferred from older Cyrus PRE models.
