About the Gold
The Cullen Cable Gold Series Power Box is a hand-built-in-the-USA power distribution strip for HiFi systems. This six-outlet version uses three Pass & Seymour audio-grade receptacles rated for 15 or 20 amps. Its 4-foot Gold Series power cable is hard-wired directly to the box, eliminating an AC inlet, circuit breaker, and power switch that could limit current. Construction is die-cast aluminum with a powder-coated finish. Internal wiring uses military-spec 99.99% silver-plated OFC copper with a Teflon dielectric. The cable uses three 10-AWG 99.99% OFC copper conductors, a polyethylene dielectric, and is rated at 30 amps. Its plug has 24K gold plating over 99.99% OFC red copper and is cryogenically treated at −192°C for 48 hours. A Crossover Series cable can also be hard-wired in place of the standard Gold Series cable.
