The Crown XLS 2500 is a professional 2-channel power amplifier featuring DriveCore Class D technology for high efficiency and low noise. It delivers 440 watts RMS per channel at 8 ohms, 775 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms, and 1200 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms. In bridged mono mode, it outputs 1550 watts RMS at 8 ohms and 2400 watts RMS at 4 ohms. The amplifier includes an integrated PureBand crossover system with Linkwitz-Riley 24 dB/octave filters, adjustable crossover frequencies from 50 to 3000 Hz, and four crossover modes (crossover, low pass, high pass, and bridge). It also features Peakx limiters to maximize output while protecting speakers, independent channel level controls, an LCD screen for menu navigation, and multiple input options (balanced XLR, 1/4", and RCA). The unit weighs approximately 10.8 lbs and fits in a 2U rack space (19"W x 3.5"H x 10.375"D). It has a frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz (-1 dB), signal-to-noise ratio of 103 dB, and total harmonic distortion of 0.5%. Cooling is managed by internal heat sinks, forced-air front-to-back ventilation, and an automatic rear fan. Protection features include short circuit, thermal, and current limiting. Outputs include binding posts and Neutrik Speakon connectors.
