About the SA4

The Counterpoint SA-4 is a monoblock power amplifier that utilizes an OTL (output transformer-less) design, which distinguishes it from traditional tube amplifiers that typically use output transformers. This design allows the SA-4 to be lighter in weight compared to conventional tube amplifiers. It is capable of delivering 140 watts into an 8-ohm load and can handle 4-ohm speakers with ease, producing 80 watts. The SA-4 is noted for its good sound quality, although OTL designs can sometimes present reliability challenges.
