The Continuum Audio Labs Copperhead Tonearm is a precision-engineered tonearm designed for audiophiles seeking the highest fidelity in vinyl playback. Named after a rare Australian snake, its design emphasizes musicality and freedom from unwanted resonances. The arm features a unique eggshell-thin wand with compound curves optimized for resonance control, interchangeable wands for quick cartridge changes, and a sapphire ring swash plate riding on damped ABEC9 miniature precision bearings to stabilize azimuth. It includes adjustable azimuth and vertical tracking angle (VTA) with ultra-fine 40 TPI microscope thread adjustment, allowing on-the-fly VTA changes. The primary pivots use sapphire vee jewel bearings with hardened stainless steel pivots, and the arm has a low mass pivot design to enhance bearing responsiveness. The arm weighs approximately 0.5 kg and comes standard with 1.5 meters of copper litz audio cable terminated with a single RCA connector, with other cable options available.
