The Constellation Audio Inspiration 1.0 is a stereo power amplifier designed to deliver clean, powerful, and transparent sound. It outputs 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 400 watts into 4 ohms with less than 0.05% total harmonic distortion plus noise at 1 kHz. The amplifier uses a fully balanced bridged design with only N-type output transistors, maintaining ideal balance between positive and negative halves of the audio signal to preserve subtle musical details. It features a custom-wound toroidal transformer and a large capacitor bank (240,000 microfarads) to ensure ample, clean power delivery. The chassis includes massive heat sinks and ventilation for cool, reliable operation. Inputs include two Constellation Direct XLR inputs, two standard balanced XLR inputs, and two unbalanced RCA inputs, with metal binding posts for speaker outputs. The amplifier weighs approximately 55 lbs (24.9 kg) and measures 8.5 x 17 x 19 inches (216 x 432 x 483 mm). It is part of Constellation's Inspiration series, which offers high-end performance in a more compact and affordable package compared to their Reference and Performance series.
