The Constellation Audio Centaur is a stereo power amplifier from the Performance Series, offering 250 watts per channel into 8 ohms, doubling to 500 watts at 4 ohms, and 800 watts at 2 ohms. It features a balanced bridged design for extraordinary fidelity, combining the delicacy of single-ended tube amps with the power of state-of-the-art transistor amplifiers. The amplifier is stable and reliable even at its limits, with a modular design that does not require a Zobel network for high-frequency damping. It has large aluminum heat sinks and ventilation for cool operation, minimizing stress on output transistors and driver circuits. Inputs include 2 stereo XLR (one for Constellation Link) and 1 stereo RCA, with metal binding posts for outputs. The Centaur is capable of driving the most demanding speakers with impeccable fidelity and musical realism.
