About the GC3
The Computer Audio Design GC3 is a passive grounding device that reduces high-frequency noise from about 1 MHz up to over 10 GHz on the signal ground and earth connections of audio systems. It contains a mixture of proprietary materials, some derived from the aircraft industry, that convert high-frequency energy into heat, thereby reducing noise pollution in audio circuits. The GC3 features six 4mm banana sockets on its rear panel, allowing connection to multiple audio components such as DACs, streamers, amplifiers, and computers. By connecting to unused output or input connectors on audio devices, the GC3 helps to improve sound quality by enhancing definition of lower frequencies, pace, rhythm and timing, naturalness of instruments and voices, and widening the soundstage. It is a passive unit with no power supply, housed in a substantial acrylic enclosure weighing approximately 16 kg. The device is effective when connected to components with the highest noise levels or to mains earth, and is noted for producing a more tranquil, focused, detailed, and organic musical reproduction. Dimensions are approximately 458 mm (width) x 356 mm (depth) x 89 mm (height).
