The Coda S5.5 is a high-performance, pure Class A stereo amplifier designed for exceptional audio quality. It operates in both stereo and bridged mono modes, offering flexibility for different setups. Key features include a rated power of 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms in stereo mode and 200 watts in bridged mono mode, a frequency response of -3dB from DC to 100kHz, and a distortion level of less than 0.04% from 10Hz to 20kHz at 50 watts. The amplifier features a gain of 26dB, a maximum current of 100 amperes peak per channel, and input impedances of 50k Ohms unbalanced and 10k Ohms balanced. It uses a multi-tap, multi-winding toroidal transformer with a rating of 1500 VA and power filtering of 80,000 microfarads. The amplifier is designed for true DC-coupled operation without servo circuitry, ensuring linear performance and high transparency in sound reproduction.
