The Cocktail Audio X50 Pro is a reference-level multifunctional music server that combines a media player, CD ripper, network streamer, and music recorder in one device. It is designed for audiophiles who want to manage extensive high-resolution digital music collections conveniently and connect to external DACs and amplifiers for superior sound quality. The X50 Pro features a Quad Core ARM Cortex A9 processor running at 1.0 GHz, an additional powerful XMOS 32bit/500MIPS 8-core microcontroller, and is built with an ultra-low phase noise oscillator (CCHD-575 from Crystek Corporation) and a shielded SMPS with an aluminum cover to minimize jitter and electrical noise. It supports up to 8TB of storage, expandable to 16TB with RAID configuration, and includes a high-speed optical disk drive for quick CD ripping. The device has a 7-inch TFT LCD (1024 x 600 pixels) for an intuitive GUI and supports multiple digital outputs including USB Audio Class 2.0, triple I²S digital outputs (two HDMI and one RJ45), coaxial, Toslink, and AES/EBU. It also features built-in DAB+/FM tuners, HDMI output for external screens or audio, and is Roon Ready for advanced music playback. The enclosure is crafted from glass-sanding aluminum by precision CNC machining, combining durability with elegant design. Software features include a customized web interface for remote control via PC, tablets, or smartphones.
