About the Universal 9

The Clearaudio Universal 9 is a finely crafted pivoted tonearm designed for exceptional analog playback performance. It features high-precision ball bearings in both vertical and horizontal axes, ensuring the cartridge tracks the record groove without coloration or distortion. The arm tube is made of ultra-stiff yet lightweight carbon fiber, providing maximum stability and excellent tracking ability. The tonearm allows easy and precise adjustment of azimuth and vertical tracking angle (VTA), with an optional VTA-lifter enabling VTA adjustment during playback. It is compatible with nearly all popular cartridges due to interchangeable counterweights and a fine scale for precise tracking force adjustment. Internal wiring uses Clearaudio's premium Sixstream cable, ensuring superior signal integrity, ideal for high-quality cartridges including low-output moving coils. The Universal 9 uses the Clearaudio/Linn standard mount, making it compatible with Clearaudio turntables and suitable as a replacement arm for other brands. It comes with a five-year manufacturer's warranty.
