The Clearaudio Sigma Wood is a moving coil (MC) phono cartridge featuring a specially machined and handcrafted body made from Fernambuk wood, a material traditionally used for state-of-the-art violin bows due to its tight grain structure and low resonance. This wooden housing contributes to a sweeter top-end sound and excellent neutrality across the frequency spectrum. The cartridge offers outstanding resolution and soundstaging, revealing hidden details in vinyl grooves without sounding overly analytical. It is particularly well-suited for light and medium weight tonearms.
