The Clearaudio Concept Signature is the latest evolution of Clearaudio's acclaimed Concept turntable line, which has sold over 20,000 units since its 2009 introduction. The Signature model incorporates advanced technology from Clearaudio's Reference Jubilee flagship, including the AiR 12V DC coreless motor with Tacho-Speed-Control (TSC) system that continuously monitors platter speed and provides real-time feedback to maintain accuracy despite external influences like belt tension changes or temperature fluctuations. The turntable features a redesigned chassis with medium-density fiberboard core and satin-finished plastic top layer to minimize resonances. The 30mm polyoxymethylene (POM) platter sits on a CNC-machined aluminum subplatter and is driven by a polished flat belt from a completely decoupled motor. An improved motor suspension (IMS) derived from the Reference Jubilee further isolates vibration. The minimalist design includes an illuminated rotary touch controller for intuitive operation. The Concept Signature maintains the modular philosophy of its predecessors, allowing users to select from various Clearaudio tonearms (Concept through Profiler) and cartridges (MM and MC designs) to customize their system. The turntable is designed as a complete plug-and-play package with factory-optimized component parameters.
