About the Delta SSP-800
The Classé Delta SSP-800 is a flagship ten-channel surround sound preamp/processor that excels in both multichannel and stereo audio performance. It features balanced and single-ended connections for all channels and uses powerful Texas Instruments DSPs operating in 64-bit double precision with floating point arithmetic for highly accurate audio processing. The SSP-800 supports a wide range of surround sound formats including Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Surround EX, DTS-ES discrete, and more. It offers extensive post-processing modes such as Dolby Pro Logic IIx, DTS Neo:6, and Music Plus, among others. The unit includes four HDMI 1.4 inputs and two outputs, component and composite video inputs and outputs, and digital coaxial and optical inputs and outputs. It supports video transcoding from composite to component and HDMI, component to component and HDMI, and HDMI to HDMI.
