The Clarus Crimson XLR interconnects are part of the Clarus Audiophile Collection, engineered by renowned cable designer Jay Victor. These cables utilize a triple balanced geometry with dedicated conductors for positive, negative, and ground connections. They are constructed from Pure Copper Ohno Continuous Cast (PCOCC) wire, known for its high purity and excellent conductivity. The cables feature an independent protective layer of Aluminum/Mylar and a heavy copper-braided shield, which acts as an antenna/drain to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). The shield is connected only at the source end, providing a path to ground for induced noise away from the next component's input stage. Each conductor type is optimized for different frequency ranges (bass, midrange, and high frequencies) and is individually insulated to minimize inter-conductor interference, resulting in an open and transparent audio signal with improved clarity, detail, and tonal balance. The connectors are CNC-machined gold-plated, ensuring reliable and high-quality connections.
