The Circle Labs A200 is a flagship hybrid integrated amplifier combining a NOS Siemens vacuum tube preamplifier stage with a powerful solid-state output stage delivering 120W RMS into 8Ω and 200W into 4Ω. It features a true dual-mono design with separate toroidal transformers and power supplies totaling 200,000µF capacitance, ensuring excellent power delivery and low noise. The volume control uses a high-precision resistor ladder from Khozomo with 0.1% tolerance resistors switched by relays for durability and accuracy. The preamplifier is minimalist, using a single NOS Siemens vacuum tube with stable polarization, minimizing passive components to enhance neutrality and dynamic response. Inputs include a balanced XLR, four pairs of RCA, and a direct power amplifier input bypassing the preamp. The amplifier has a frequency response of 10 Hz to 130 kHz (-3 dB), input sensitivity of 0.7V for full power, and a gain of 35 dB. It uses WBT nextgen binding posts for speaker connections and comes with a remote control. The chassis measures 430 x 376 x 176 mm and weighs 23 kg. The A200 is praised for its authentic, smooth sound character, combining the harmonic flow of tube amplifiers with the power and control of solid-state designs, making it suitable for a wide range of loudspeakers and musical styles.
