The Chord Company Sarum T series represents the second-highest performance level in Chord's cable lineup, positioned just below the flagship ChordMusic range. It introduces the proprietary Taylon dielectric material, originally developed for military and space applications, which offers superior phase stability at room temperatures compared to traditional PTFE/Teflon insulation. This upgrade enhances timing, clarity, detail retrieval, and overall musicality without imposing a tonal character on the system. Sarum T cables employ high-purity, micro-polished, silver-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors arranged in Chord's unique Super ARAY geometry, optimized for analog, digital, and speaker applications. Each conductor is individually shielded with multiple layers including silver-plated braids, high-density foil, and mechanical damping layers to minimize interference, noise, and vibration. Available in various configurations such as RCA, XLR, DIN, speaker terminations (ChordOhmic banana or spade plugs, crimped not soldered), tonearm cables, USB, Ethernet (Stream), and power cables. Hand-built in the UK with a stiff white braided outer jacket for durability and aesthetics.
