The Chord Company PowerHAUS P6 is an entry-level mains distribution block handmade in England that follows the flagship PowerHAUS M6 and S6 models launched in 2022. It is designed to reduce noise and improve the performance of hi-fi, home cinema, and CI systems by drawing on Chord Company's decades of expertise in wiring design and engineering. The PowerHAUS P6 features heavy-gauge internal cables and high-quality sockets chosen for their sound performance, complemented by a 16-amp IEC input socket. The design employs Chord Company's proprietary ARAY noise-reduction technology (MainsARAY) to minimize interaction between internal live, neutral, and earth cables while maintaining a clean earth supply. The unit avoids serial filters, switches, and neon power indicators which can generate noise and compromise performance. Its solid aluminium construction minimizes microphony effects. The PowerHAUS P6 is supplied with a standard 16A IEC power cable with straight connector but can be upgraded with factory options such as the Chord Clearway Power cable with right-angle connectors. Reviewers report a lower noise floor, improved clarity, enhanced soundstaging, and more natural rhythm compared to standard mains blocks.
