About the CPM 3300

The Chord CPM 3300 is a MOSFET-powered integrated stereo amplifier designed for high-end audio performance, delivering 220W RMS per channel into 8 ohms and 300W RMS into 4 ohms. Its preamplifier section offers a frequency response of 2.5Hz to 200kHz (-3dB), while the power amplifier section extends from 0.8Hz to 46kHz (-1dB) into 8 ohms. Distortion is kept extremely low, with THD at -91dB at 10Hz, -93dB at 1kHz, -90dB at 10kHz, and -87dB at 20kHz at unity gain. The amplifier provides a power amplifier gain of 30dB, a preamplifier signal-to-noise ratio of 93dB across all inputs, and input impedances of 47k ohms unbalanced and 94k ohms balanced. It features multiple single-ended RCA inputs plus balanced XLR inputs, microprocessor-controlled facilities including source-dependent gain settings and dual buses with tape loops, and can route signal to the internal power amp or to line-level outputs for external amplification. Hand-built in England in a solid aluminium chassis, the CPM 3300 measures 420mm wide by 152mm high by 355mm deep and weighs approximately 19kg. Now discontinued, it remains regarded as a classic high-end integrated amplifier among audiophiles for its powerful drive capability and long-term reliability.
