About the Crimson Vee 3
The Crimson Vee 3 is part of Chord Company's updated range, featuring heavier-gauge multistrand oxygen-free copper conductors in a twisted-pair configuration. It is insulated with low-density polyethylene and includes cotton-thread spacers. The cable is wrapped in a natural fiber layer and features dual-layer shielding consisting of a high-density braid and overlapped foil. This shielding is fully floating and surrounded by a soft PVC for mechanical damping, with a hard PVC outer jacket for protection. The VEE 3 RCA plug uses an ABS enclosure with gold or silver-plated contacts, enhancing signal transfer and providing good strain relief without compressing the cable.
