About the DMC-1 Music Console

The Channel Islands Audio DMC-1 (Digital Music Console) is a headless network music player/streamer and DAC controlled from any modern web browser via the manufacturer’s CI AudioFile Player interface; no dedicated app, front-panel display, or onboard music storage is required. It can play music from directly attached USB storage, network-attached storage/shared drives, internet radio, and supported streaming services including Tidal, Qobuz, and Spotify. It may operate as a standalone USB-file player through its own hotspot or connect to a local network. The internal DAC section uses an AKM AK4493 DAC and precision Crystek femtosecond clocks, with both single-ended and balanced analog outputs. A USB optical drive/optional matching CDT-1 transport can be attached for CD playback and FLAC ripping. Its modular hardware architecture and updateable software were designed to permit future upgrades.
