About the L1

The CH Precision L1 is a high-end line-stage preamplifier designed for maximum transparency, very low noise, and absolute stability. It uses a fully discrete, fully balanced, complementary, DC-coupled Class A design with separate left and right channel circuit boards, short signal paths, and a software-driven R-2R resistor ladder for precise volume control in 0.5 dB steps. The L1 is highly configurable, with selectable input impedance, adjustable input gain, DC-offset calibration, and multiple operating modes ranging from dual-monaural to optional true monaural configurations. It is aimed at reference-level stereo systems and can be expanded with the external X1 power supply.
