About the C1

The CH Precision C1 is a Swiss, modular digital-to-analog controller from CH Precision. It combines a high-end DAC, digital and optional network/USB inputs, optional analog inputs, volume control, balance adjustment, clock-synchronization facilities, and analog preamplifier functionality. Its conversion section uses a fully differential, dual-mono linearized R-2R architecture with four Burr-Brown PCM1704 converters per channel, discrete analog circuitry, and CH Precision’s CH-HiD and CH-PEtER digital processing. The C1 is listed by CH Precision as a legacy product, while the current product range includes the C1.2 DAC; therefore the original C1 is no longer a current production model. Published specifications vary slightly by revision, fitted option boards, and whether dimensions include connectors and feet.
