The Cerwin Vega D9 is a classic three-way floorstanding speaker featuring a 15" cast aluminum frame woofer, two 6" midrange cones, and a 1" voice coil horn tweeter. It offers a frequency response range of 29Hz to 20kHz and can handle up to 350 watts of power. The speaker has a high sensitivity of 101dB and an 8-ohm nominal impedance, making it efficient and capable of producing loud, clear sound. The enclosure is vented and direct radiating, constructed from 3/4" particle board with internal bracing for durability and sound quality. It includes level controls for the tweeter and midrange, as well as protection features like a self-resetting circuit breaker for the tweeter and an overall fuse. The dimensions are 35.5" high, 18" wide, and 17.75" deep, with each speaker weighing approximately 42.5 lbs. The D9 is highly regarded for its clean, powerful sound and vintage appeal, often restored with new foam surrounds and resealed cabinets to maintain performance.
