About the A-70T
The Cayin A-70T integrated amplifier uses four KT88 tubes for Class A2 push-pull amplification, supported by two 12AX7EH and two 12AU7EH tubes in the preamplifier stage. It features specially manufactured toroid power and EI audio transformers designed for low magnetic leakage, wide frequency response, and low impedance. The amplifier allows tube substitution with KT88, 6550, KT66, KT90, KT100 for T1 and EL34, 6CA7, 7189A for T2 tubes. It supports switching between ultralinear and triode modes via remote control and includes a preamp bypass for use as a power amplifier. The unit is hand-made with point-to-point wiring, reflecting classic tube amplifier craftsmanship. It delivers 55 watts per channel in ultralinear mode and 26 watts per channel in triode mode into 8 ohms. The frequency response ranges from 15Hz to 48kHz with 1% THD at 1kHz and a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB. Input sensitivity is 380mV (line) and 800mV (pre-in), with input impedance of 100k ohms and output impedance selectable between 4 and 8 ohms. The amplifier weighs approximately 26.5 kg (59 lbs) and measures 440 x 210 x 397 mm (WxHxD). It operates on 120V AC power with a consumption of 280W. The A-70T is praised for its warm, natural sound with a strong bass foundation and emotional musicality, suitable for a broad range of system matches. It is
