The Cayin Audio 9084D MKII is a high-end, Class A, single-ended vacuum-tube monoblock power amplifier. Each amplifier uses a 300B driver valve followed by an 845 output valve and is intended to be used as a stereo pair, delivering 28 W RMS per channel into an 8-ohm load. Reported construction and features include point-to-point wiring, hand-matched TUNG-SOL 6SL7 and 6SN7GTB voltage-amplifier tubes, an externally accessible 845 bias adjustment and test function, external hum-balance adjustment, wide-band output transformers, and an approximately 30-second power-on delay. The 9084D MKII is designed primarily for use with a suitable line-level preamplifier, and Cayin documentation and dealer listings associate it with the SC-6LS MKII preamplifier. Published specifications vary slightly between listings: frequency response is reported as either 15 Hz–33 kHz or 105 Hz–33 kHz at -3 dB, and signal-to-noise ratio as either 85 dB or 89 dB. The 15 Hz–33 kHz and 85 dB figures appear most consistently in the available product listings.
