About the Liquid Carbon

The Cavalli Audio Liquid Carbon is a fully discrete, fully balanced, solid-state headphone amplifier in a compact transportable chassis. It delivers approximately 1.5 W into 50 ohms and has exceptionally low output impedance—about 0.12 ohms balanced and 0.08 ohms single-ended. User-selectable 1× and 3× gain accommodates a broad range of headphones, including sensitive in-ear monitors and demanding planar models. Analog connectivity includes balanced XLR and selectable RCA/3.5 mm inputs, while outputs include 4-pin XLR, 6.3 mm TRS, and RSA headphone connections. The amplifier has no built-in DAC and is powered by a universal external switching power supply. Measuring 5 × 7 × 1.75 inches and weighing approximately 1 lb 7 oz, the Liquid Carbon was produced in limited quantities and is discontinued.
