About the SLI-100

The Cary Audio SLI-100 is a dual mono design integrated amplifier that represents a significant advancement in tube amplifier technology. It features four KT150 output tubes configured in push-pull ultralinear mode, delivering 100 watts per channel with exceptional musicality and control. The amplifier utilizes a carefully designed feedback scheme with only 4dB of negative feedback to optimize the balance between noise floor, distortion, and bass control. The preamplifier circuit employs a Series Regulated Push-Pull (SRPP) Class A triode voltage amplification stage, while the phase inverter uses a self-balancing split-load configuration with 6SN7 dual triodes. The output transformers are specifically designed by Cary Audio and represent the most critical component in the amplifier. The SLI-100 features hand-assembled wiring, premium parts selection, and proper circuit topologies that contribute to incredible reliability and sonic enjoyment. It includes a dedicated headphone circuit fed directly from the output transformers, providing full sound quality of the tube circuitry. The amplifier comes standard with a removable cage cover and features a black powder-coated matte chassis with choice of silver or black aluminum faceplate and knobs.
